Juanita Ramos is an author, content creator and mother of two. She is from Atlanta, GA by way of the Bronx, NY. Juanita began her career as a journalist for Upscale Magazine.
Her children inspired her to write children’s books when the required reading at their schools included characters who didn’t look like them or deal with the issues they already experienced at their young ages. Juanita wanted to ensure that all black and brown children had a safe space to explore their imaginations where the characters in their books looked like them and dealt with a diverse list of experiences they could relate to.
From that desire blossomed 1881 Blue Book Publishing, a publishing house for young diverse authors to write and inspire the next generation of learners.
